She is our in-house romance expert who loves a cheesey, spicy, and fun read (even if it's a little predictable).
A hilarious novel through and through. I could not stop laughing the entire time I was reading this book! This is a very entertaining story about a girl and her family as they try to cover up an accidental murder... all while organizing a wedding!
My first read of 2022! I knew I wanted to read more mystery/thriller novels this year and started with this one. Right from this start, I got this cold, creepy vibe from Jewell's writing style. Towards the end of the book I thought I knew how it was going to end but was completely blindsided at the very end by an unexpected act of kindness. Definitely going to read more Lisa Jewell!
I LOVED this series! After seeing the movie and loving it, I picked up the book at the start of the pandemic in 2020. I was done with the whole trilogy by the end of the week! If you love fun family dramas, you'll love Kevin Kwan's Crazy Rich Asians trilogy.

I first read this in middle school at Mount Hebron (now known as Buzz Aldrin) and finished it within days of being assigned the reading. They Cage the Animals at Night is a brutal and honest account of growing up in and out of the foster care system in the early 1950s. I've re-read this more times than I can count.
As a lover of historical fiction, The Other Boleyn Girl was a perfect read for me. Gregory really immerses you in the period she's written about and often writes from a historical "background" character. This is the story of Henry VIII transition from his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, to his second, Anne Boleyn, except it is told from Anne's sister's perspective Mary who is thrust into a world of court intrigue and drama for her family's greed and rise to power.
