SELLING CAN BE FUN is a practical book of real basics and fundamentals from a successful road salesman’s observations and anecdotes gleaned from 60 years of selling. It is a serious how-to primer that will educate, invigorate, and put you on the path to success.
The author, Martin Rubin, shares with the reader what he has learned over a career of selling, and what a beginner must understand and expect…and how it can be fun!
(IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!)
“A blend of the ‘old fashioned’ approach and the embracing of the new and exciting technology is the answer for positive results.” –Martin Rubin
Martin Rubin (a/k/a Marty) was born in Newark, New Jersey in August of 1929, the same year that his father, Thomas Rubin, started a printing company, SpectraMedia, which is still thriving today.
Marty Rubin graduated from Weequahic High School and Rutgers University to be followed by a tour in the Army during the Korean War. He is married to the former Marilyn Strassburger and has four children and nine grandchildren; six married and three engaged, which translates to eighteen grandchildren and four great grand children.
He has enjoyed a successful sales career and now “gives back” by sharing what he has learned about relationship building, selling, and the magical ability to network. He mentors and trains one on one, or in groups…and simply shares the how-to of selling in his candid book,
Mr. Rubin continues to remain active in the business, as he helps re-invent the company to anticipate and adjust successfully to the rapid changes in the world today.
