Chana Ginelle Ewing
An ABC of Equality
Saturday, September 28, 1-3
@ Newark Public Library
In An ABC of Equality, debut author and women’s advocate Chana Ginelle Ewing offers the first children’s concept book focused on equality and educating youth about the importance of intersectionality. Ewing makes complicated identity concepts like gender, immigration, and ability-accessible for children and encourages informative and constructive conversations around our modern and evolving vocabulary.
A is for Ability, B is for Belief, C is for Class. All people have the right to be treated fairly, no matter who they are, what they look like, or where they come from. An ABC of Equality introduces complicated concepts surrounding social justice to the youngest of children.
Come join us for a discussion on how her book can be used to to explain social justice concepts to children and help them navigate the sometimes difficult world we live in.
