Blooston, Roselee

Roselee Blooston is an award-winning author whose plays have been produced in New York, across the country, at the Edinburgh Festival, and over Voice of America, and whose short stories, essays, and articles have been published in national magazines, journals, and anthologies. Born and raised in the Washington, D.C area, she has lived in Texas, New York, and New Jersey, and has worked professionally as an actress, university instructor, and freelance writer. Dying in Dubai was her first book, and is a 2016 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year WINNER, and a 2017 Eric Hoffer Book Award Finalist. She speaks on loss and resilience to groups and organizations, and teaches memoir writing privately and for hospital support programs. Her second book and debut novel, Trial by Family, was a GOLD MEDAL WINNER in the 2020 Independent Publishers Book Awards.
